amazon prime
You know, I'd probably sign up for Amazon Prime if it meant that any gifts that were sent to me off of my wish list were afforded the same privileges (free two-day shipping or overnight shipping for only $3.99).

Neal Stephenson: Cryptonomicon
Finally getting around to this one.
F. Scott Fitzgerald: The Great Gatsby
I hadn't read this since college; perfect beach read.
Michael Pollan: The Omnivore's Dilemma
I have to finish this one before I pick up the next one.
Richard Price: Lush Life
I've never really been into Price, but couldn't pass up this one.
While that would be even more cool, note that all gifts you send to friends are included ('tis better to give than receive or some such doctrine)... And if you want to send yourself something at a different address, that's included too (e.g., send a new book to yourself at the hotel you're staying at in New York next week)... I resisted the borg until a month or two ago, and I've become a huge fan. The removal of the $25 minimum has been just as big as the 2-day shipping...
