About Michael Sippey

Michael Sippey is Vice President of Products at Six Apart, Ltd., where he's responsible for product strategy and management for the TypePad, Movable Type and Vox blogging platforms.

Before joining Six Apart Michael was part of the founding management team at email services agency Quris, led engagements at the Internet consulting firm Viant, and managed market data and transaction download systems at Advent Software. He launched the pioneering blog Stating the Obvious in 1995, and blogs today at sippey.typepad.com. Michael has a BA in English Literature from Colgate University and a masters in business from UC Berkeley.
